Meet Spencer

Spencer Frost is a Filmmaker from Avalon Beach - Sydney who specialises in Travel, Adventure, Tourism, Ocean, Underwater and specialised (gimbal / drone) Cinematography.

Spencer has worked with a number of international brands, agencies and production companies including BBC Earth, National Geographic, RED BULL Media House, Japan Airlines, Corona, P&O Cruises and so many more.

Over the past 8 years Spencer has travelled to some amazing locations around the world including the far east of Russia, Iceland, Africa, Europe, Japan, Hawaii, Indonesia, South Pacific and covered almost the whole of Australia with a camera in hand.

Spencer is currently shooting with a RED Raptor 8K Digital cinema camera, MOVI PRO gimbal, Leica R Lens Kit and a variety of other amazing camera gear to cover all angles of any job.

Along with this he has a RED Raptor Underwater Video Housing for this kit with the option of Underwater directors monitor / split.

For Aerial Drone work Spencer is using the DJI Inspire 2 X7 6K Drone kit.

Additional Certification:

Spencer is a Fully (CASA) Licensed, Certified and Insured drone operator and can legally fly all drones up to 25kgs.

Boat / PWC Jetski Licence – Jetski rental / assist also available for hire.

Career Achievements

In 2017 Spencer made his short film “Home” which went on to win the “fisher-flicks film festival” and was awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick.

In 2019 Spencer was selected by Redbull Media House as apart of their scene concept to create his short film – “Dancing in the Dark” which went on to gather 3 million YouTube views and was also awarded a Vimeo staff pick.

In 2019 Spencer was the “Director of Photography” of the Australia Desert segment for a new BBC Earth Series by David Attenborough.

In 2019 and into 2020 Spencer completed his first feature length film “A Corner of the Earth” – Which has been screened all over the world, been featured in over 30 + international festivals, picked up a number of different awards, was a part of the Ocean Film Festival world tour and has recently been signed for distribution with Madman / Garage Films. The film is now available on iTunes, Vimeo, Amazon Prime, Fetch and Garage Films.

In 2022 Spencer set off on the adventure of a lifetime to one of the last undocumented and undiscovered coastlines in the world, the Kamchatka peninsula in the far east of Russia – he spent 2 months in the Siberian winter working on his latest feature length adventure documentary – “The Corners of the Earth – Kamchatka” due for release early 2023.

Moving forward, Spencer is continuing to pursue a career in the commercial film world but also touring their latest film around the world – and of course planning the next adventure and feature film.

With Boat / PWC Jetski Licence + Open water Scuba Diving Certification, Spencer is able to capture moments others wouldn’t dream of.



Spencer is a Fully (CASA) Licensed, Certified and Insured drone operator and can legally fly all drones up to 25kgs taking your filming to new heights.
